Welcome to the NDSS PAC website!
NDSS is a Community School, as well as School District 68's French Immersion secondary school. All parents and caregivers of students at NDSS are voting members of the Parent Advisory Council (PAC).
Come out to a meeting! Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 4 at 7pm in the library (back entrance across from the school district office, by the small parking lot). With the exception of September, our meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the NDSS library . Please click here to see the NDSS PAC Constitution and Bylaws.
In addition to our current members, we welcome all families whose students will be attending NDSS next September. Please come and find out what we are all about. It is a great way to start getting connected with the school.
Click on the Community School Events Page to check out PAC-sponsored training opportunities for NDSS students. Two course are being offered: Food Safe and Cashier Training. They are taking place on Friday, May 12 (Pro-D day) and Saturday, May 13.
What is our role?
In addition to our advisory role, the NDSS PAC (through the BC Gaming Grant) provides financial support for a number extra-curricular programs at the school, including athletics, student leadership initiatives, field trips, just to name a few. We are proud of the students and hope that our financial and moral support will help them succeed at their endeavours. As parents and caregivers, we must make sure funding continues to be available to us through BC Gaming and that we are directing it in ways that will do the most good. Our school is only eligible to receive Gaming funds if we have a PAC!
